NCIS Scoop! Jamie Lee Curtis to Share 

NCIS will serve up some Freaky Tuesdays when Jamie Lee Curtis guest-stars in a pair of November sweeps episodes, sharing scenes — and on-screen sparks! — with her Freaky Friday fiancé, Mark Harmon.

 

In what’s being billed as a special two-parter, Curtis will play Charlotte Ryan, a strong, opinionated career woman from the Office of the Inspector General in the Department of Defense. The character is also described as someone who will spar with Gibbs and the team like never before, so “don’t be surprised if there are sparks between Gibbs and Ryan,” says NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg. “We’re expecting some real chemistry.”

Further touting Curtis’ casting on TV’s No. 1 scripted series, Glasberg says, “The role of ‘Charlotte Ryan’ got even better when the enormously talented Jamie Lee Curtis agreed to join us. Jamie’s shoot-from-the-hip style embodies everything we want from Ryan — humor, heart, strength, and a lot of fun. We couldn’t be more excited she’s here.”

In addition to 2003′s Freaky Friday (where she swapped bods with a promising ingenue named Lindsay Lohan), Curtis’ film credits include several Halloween movies, A Fish Called Wanda (“The London Underground is not a political movement”), True Lies (for which she won a Golden Globe) and My Girl. Her most noteworthy TV endeavor was the ABC rom-com Anything But Love, which ran from 1989-1992 and netted the actress her first Globe.

NCIS premieres its ninth season on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8/7c.
