NCIS star Mark Harmon has been a busy man. In addition to starring in his hit CBS show weekly as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Harmon has recently found time to produce and star in a new original movie -- John Sandford'' Certain Prey -- airing this Sunday on USA. Mark Harmon spoke to reporters this week about his roles in the movie and on NCIS.

Certain Prey is the story of Minneapolis Deputy Police Chief Lucas Davenport, a cop who is willing to break all of the rules. Based on one novel in a 22-book series by John Sandford, Certain Prey follows Davenport as he hunts down two women who may be as deadly as they are beautiful.

On his Certain Prey character, Lucas Davenport:
Mark Harmon: "He's an interesting guy. He's a very successful businessman, who dresses nice and drives nice cars and chases the ladies. But what he loves most is being a cop."

"There's a darkness to defining that character."

"We had to grow my hair as long as it could be, given the schedule of NCIS."

On the similarities between NCIS' Gibbs and Certain Prey's Davenport:
Mark Harmon: "I think there are certainly similarities, but they're very different people to me... I think there's a part of them that totally understand each other. I think, on a personal level, they're total opposites."

On the possibility of future movies based on John Sandford's books:
Mark Harmon: "We targeted Certain Prey as a place to start. That doesn't mean there won't be more... Really, the end of the movie is just the start of the movie."

On working on NCIS for so many years:
Mark Harmon: "We've got a gathering of actors on the show who all like each other. It's always been about the work. In the beginning... what moved us along the line was just concentrating on the work.... There's nobody bored here."

On an upcoming, two-part episode of NCIS that brings up Gibbs' past:
Mark Harmon: "There's a plane crash and a huge crime scene and an investigation that takes part in trying to identify those remains. And in some cases, those remains not being what they should be... It forces Gibbs to look back at his past."

On how Gibbs would react to other NCIS characters dating:
Mark Harmon: "He'd probably react the way most people react on a job site -- which is it's not a good idea for a million reasons.... I don't think it would be as surprising to him as concern about how they'd do their jobs."
